The Adult Education Forum "Adult on the Learning Journey"

The Adult Education Forum "Adult on the Learning Journey" took place on 16 October 2015 in Tallinn, Estonia.

Forum addressed the issue of counselling in education as means for supporting adults' self-development in order to plan the learning journey and cope in life.

The objective was to achieve common understanding about how the stakeholders can cooperate to make counselling available for all the target groups. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to focus upon the learner and try to shape the logistics of the learning journey.

A workshop was held for the purpose of devising the service – how adult learners will find their way to counselling and learning.

The valuable experience of Ireland in the field was introduced by Mrs Jennifer McKenzie, Director of the National Centre for Guidance in Education.

The forum was held by ETKA Andras in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Research.
